Pharmacovigilance System At BOSCH

Pharmacovigilance, or drug safety, is the science and activities relating to detecting, assessing, understanding, and preventing adverse effects or any other possible drug-related problems.

The main responsibilities of pharmacovigilance are the timely collection, recording, and notification, appropriate assessments, and expedited and periodic reporting of safety data to regulatory authorities.  More specifically, a PV system collects data on Adverse Events (AEs), other safety-related information like off-label use, medication errors, overdose etc.

Adverse Event (AE):

any untoward medical occurrence in a patient, on administration of a drug or therapeutic good which does not necessarily have a causal relationship with the treatment.

Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR):

any untoward medical occurrence in a patient, on administration of a drug or therapeutic good which has a causal relationship with the treatment

Doing everything in our domain to safeguard patient safety, along the entire lifecycle of a product is of utmost importance to us. Remember the mandatory information required to report;

  1. Patient Information.
  2. One or more suspected reaction (s).
  3. One or more suspected drug (s).
  4. Reporter Information.

At Bosch Pharmaceuticals we have a dedicated department of pharmacovigilance system with trained professionals who closely monitors all the suspected side effects, or adverse events, which have been reported in conjunction with our medicines, initiating all the necessary steps to address  situations which may pose a risk to people taking our medicines.

In case of any ADR that has been observed with medicines of BOSCH, can be reported at Medical Affairs Department.
